| 2008 Seguin Sled Dog Mail Run When: February 16th, 2008. Where: Starts at Humphrey, Ontario (Community Center) to Rosseau, Ontario (17km) to Post Office. Time: 10am teams start. Traditionally the Mail Run has been held in the third week of February, for the last 23 years. That makes it the longest recurring Official Sled Dog Mail Run in Ontario. Teams gather in Humphrey on Saturday, Feb. 16th, 2008. Teams of purebred Siberian Huskies and their Mushers disappear into the bush on their 17km journey to Rosseau, Ontario with addressed sledvelopes safely packed in their sled bags. Upon arrival, each mushers delivers their sledvelopes to the Post Mistress, who then hand cancels each of them, which is a rare thing in Ontario. From these sledvelopes continue on via Canada Post mail to destinations around the world. If you would like to experience this exciting event, come and join us at the Humphrey Community Center.
